I have a grandson in Italy who will be attending graduate school, in economics, this fall. I just forwarded this piece to him and suggested that he read it three times, and not bother with the degree........

Your write up is fantastic. I haven't had the pleasure of reading your writings before but I was completely engaged in your words.

Long have I felt that the way we are living today is just wrong, no, not wrong, it is completely contrary to our nature. We weren't designed by whoever or whatever God is to live in this manner. We spend our days chasing after the acquisition of wealth, things and stuff, seeking only to get gain, at the expense of family relationships that truly bring us inner peace, lasting joy, and happiness.

For example, my brother, a man whom I would love to see and spend more time with, decided, out of the blue, a few years back that he wanted to pursue a new job in a state located 1500 miles away. So, he moved. He took he, his wife, and four of my nieces and nephews and moved away in a quest to make more money and be happy. Has he been happy since? No. He has moved at least three times since leaving his home state and is still seeking that perfect job with a greater income. His marriage is in shambles. His children are showing signs of mental distress in the form of social anxieties and eating disorders. I have made every attempt to maintain some form of a relationship with my brother but it just doesn't work when they live so far away. When they were here we had the best of times together. This incredible relationship that brought us so much joy was cast down and trodden upon in his quest to make more money. This is happening all around us.

Growing up I always had my grandparents in close proximity to my parents home. I would always stop in at my grandparent's homes for a cookie snack on my way home from school or to have my grandfather help me with this or that task. Today, thanks to the division of families due to the quest to make more money and acquire greater property, grand children don't know their grandparents and grandparents expire their lives in abject loneliness and depression because their grand children and families live 4 states away. I cherished my relationships with my grandparents but I fear I will not have the same relationship with my grandchildren that I had with my grandparents.

Each of us has a divine spark, put there by our creator, to enable within us a desire to return to that creator, wherever that creator is. We, speaking of society as a whole, have deviated from that spark and we are lost. We all know it. We all sense it deep down in our bowels where logic cannot exist. Depression, anxiety, fear, loneliness, anger, resentment are the fruits of our choices. Is it any wonder so many people are now hopped up on anti-anxiety and anti-depression medications, methamphetamines, or have become worshipers of alcohol related spirits? They all use these drugs as an escape from the unnatural and cold existence the financial system has foisted upon them.

But what are we to do? I didn't have any say in creating this lifestyle. Neither did my parents, my grand parents or my many "greats" grand parents. We were born into this system and this is all that we know. I am terrified of a great collapse but I sense it is coming. No nation comes back and pays off $40 trillion. The only responses are more money printing to monetize the debt or defaulting on the debt and both responses result in lots of people not having any money.

Collapse is inevitable. The old order of the fiat currencies is dying, being supplanted or replaced by a new order. What that new order will be is anyone's guess.

Excellent article. Thank you for writing.
